Hi! I tutor AP Calculus AB and BC with a focus on the parts teachers rush: motion problems, accumulation, and interpreting units. I’m happy to re-teach a lesson from scratch, but I’m just as happy to jump straight into practice and fix small mistakes (missing dx, sign errors, rounding). If you share your class calendar, I’ll line our sessions up with your next test so you’re never cramming the night before.

I’ve taught AP Calculus AB and BC for over 9 years, including several seasons as the person who runs our school’s Saturday mock exam sessions. I’m big on error analysis: we’ll look at why points get lost on scoring guidelines, then drill the same idea until it’s automatic. If you want, I can mark timed FRQs between lessons and send a photo of the rubric notes back the same day. My goal is that you recognise a prompt and know exactly what to do first.

Hey! If derivatives feel like hieroglyphics right now, you’re not alone. I tutor AP Calc AB/BC and usually meet students where they’re at: maybe limits are fine but related rates is chaos, or vice versa. I like working from your class packets and then adding a couple of “twist” problems so the test questions don’t surprise you. I’m also happy to run quick 20-minute check-ins the week before the exam.

I’m a former engineering TA who switched to tutoring during grad school and never looked back. For AP Calculus BC, I’m especially good with series, parametric/polar, and the calculator-active parts where strategy matters. We’ll practise setting up quickly, checking answers with graphs, and writing solutions the way the scoring notes expect. I can do short 30-min tune-ups before quizzes, and longer sessions for full-length practice tests.

AP Calculus AB was my favourite course to tutor when I started, and I’ve stuck with it for 4 years because the exam is so pattern-based. We’ll build a one-page “moves list” for each unit (optimisation, FTC, average value, etc.), then apply it on mixed sets. I’m straightforward about pacing: if you’re aiming for a 5, we’ll time everything early and track which question types slow you down. I can also help you decide which calculator functions are worth memorising for exam day.

I teach only AP Calculus AB/BC, and I’ve worked with students from big public schools to tiny homeschool co-ops. My sessions are usually half problem-solving, half correcting written work so your steps look like an AP reader wants to see. If you send a photo of your homework beforehand, I’ll pick two questions that unlock the whole assignment and bring extra practice in the same style. I’ve got a soft spot for area/volume questions, so we’ll make those feel routine.
